Before-School Tutoring/1 hour
$140/individual/minimum six sessions
Private literacy tutoring in the Clubhouse.
Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday: 7:25-8:25am
Option for school drop off to Wade Thomas!
Kinder Hour!
$320 for six week session, school pick-up, snack.
I support Kinders in their literacy skills to strengthen their foundation for reading & writing through games and FUN!
Tuesdays or Thursdays: 2-3:30pm. snack, recess & school pick-up included.
After-School Tutoring or Enrichment/1 hour
$140/individual/minimum six sessions

Wednesdays: 2:00-3:00pm or 4:30-5:30pm
Tues/Thursdays: 4:30-5:30pm & later hours avail. upon request!
Mondays/Fridays upon request.

Hello! I’m Kelly! Welcome to my Literacy Clubhouse!
I’ve been an educator since 1998. My first year teaching was spent at Escuela Nazareth in Liberia, Costa Rica. Having no materials beyond chalk and a chalkboard, I learned to be a creative & adaptive teacher from the jump.
From there, I taught in the classroom for ten years. In 2008, I became a literacy specialist in SF, finished my Masters of Ed. in Language & Literacy & received a Reading Specialist credential (all while chasing three boys under five -whew). For fifteen years, I juggled raising these boys while working as an interventionist & multilingual learner specialist in public schools in Marin & SF.
I have an associates level Orton-Gillingham certification & extensive training in best practices including: Reading Recovery; NYC Columbia Teacher’s College; UC Berkeley’s Bay Area Writing Project Summer Institute; IDA dyslexia & Structured Literacy workshops. I take what works, individuate and create a multisensory & engaging learning journey for my students.
I am passionate about words & language development & I love to get kids fired up about all things literacy. In the free moments, I dabble in lifting dumbells, needlepoint, cooking, hiking, traveling, reading & hanging with my boys (if they’ll let me).
